On June 9-10 we wrapped up the 2017 athletic year for the Eagan Girls Track and Field team …  and was it ever a great year! We are so proud of our student-athletes for so many reasons.  Below are some highlights from the overall best year for the team since we opened the doors of Eagan High School.

It’s always been our goal to be one of the Top 8 teams in the State and we believe we’ve met that goal this season, in both the State True Team Championships and the MSHSL Championships!

Athletic Team Accomplishments:
1st Place Section 2AAA True Team Championships
8th Place at the State True Team Championships
6th Place at the South Suburban Conference Team Championship
2nd Place MSHSL Section 3AA Team Championship
8th Place at the MSHSL State Championships

MSHSL State Meet Qualifiers: Natalie Windels-11:  100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, long jump.  Jailyn Robinson-11: 100m Dash.  Nyeaee Robins-9: 100m Dash. 4x100m Relay: Nyeaee Robins-9, Carly Czaplewski-12, Ashley Lentsch-12, Jailyn Robinson-11. 

MSHSL All State Performers: Natalie Windels-11,100m hurdles-7th, 300m hurdles-1st, long jump-6th. 4x100m Relay: Nyeaee Robins-9, Carly Czaplewski-12, Ashley Lentsch-12, Jailyn Robinson-11-2nd.    

Academic All State Team: Olivia Dykes, Madison Fagan, Hannah Lamkin, Lauren Markowski, Emily McMonagle, Michelle Passe, Theresa Passe, Teagan Ramboldt, Nia Steele, Natalie Windels.

Minnesota High School Track Coaches’ Association Academic All-State Award Criteria: Athlete (grade 9-12) must have a GPA of at least 3.6 on a 4.0 scale and must meet one of the following three criteria: 1) earn All-Conference honors, 2) qualify for the current years State Track and Field Championships or 3) have equaled the Honor Roll Standard posted on the Coaches’ Association web site.

Section 3AA Academic Team GPA 3.920: Anna Duffy, Olivia Dykes, Madison Fagan, Hannah Lamkin, Lauren Markowski, Emily McMonagle, Lauren Moy, Maddie Nickell, Theresa Passe, Natalie Windels.

6 New School Records: 100m High Hurdles: Natalie Windels-14.43, 300m Hurdles: Natalie Windels-42.91, Long Jump: Natalie Windels-17-08.75.
4x100m Relay: Nyeaee Robins, Carly Czaplewski, Ashley Lentsch, Jailyn Robinson-48.70
